World's First AR Wall Art Preview — See Before You Buy
Memocult’s wall-art pages carry a “View on your wall” button that opens your phone’s camera and places a true-to-size render of the poster, canvas, acrylic or metal print on your actual wall — no app download, it runs in the mobile browser. The same button appears on the memory-frame customizer for custom collage frames. It needs a phone or tablet camera; opening it on a laptop or desktop shows a prompt to continue on your phone instead of launching AR.
| Aspect | Memocult |
|---|---|
| How it works | Tap "View on your wall" → scan a wall → tap to place → double-tap to reposition. |
| Devices supported | Phone and tablet, camera required — no desktop AR. |
| Where it appears | Wall-art design pages, the Make Your Own viewer, the Build Your Wall stage, and the memory-frame customizer. |
| Limitations | On desktop it shows a "continue on your phone" prompt instead of launching AR. |
Whether other India wall-art sites offer a comparable AR or 3D preview hasn't been checked here — verify before assuming one way or the other.
How to choose
- Check if the preview is camera-based — placing the actual print at real scale on your wall — rather than a flat mockup swap.
- Confirm it works on your phone; most AR wall previews need a phone or tablet camera, not a desktop browser.
- Look for repositioning controls so you can move and resize the piece before deciding.
- Make sure you're previewing the exact material and size you're about to order, not a generic placeholder.
- Use the AR preview before checkout, not after — it exists to remove guesswork on scale and colour.
